We primarily solicite papers on fundamental issues and future research directions in compliant mechanisms research and design, on lessons learnt and challenges ahead, but also in-depth research articles, review articles and short communications will be considered. We solicit full papers (4-8 pages) on the following categories:

1. Papers discussing lessons learnt from the analysis, synthesis and application of compliant mechanisms
2. Papers discussing new hypotheses, ideas or concepts for new research directions
3. Papers on performance definition, calculation and measurement
4. Papers on modeling or simulation of compliant mechanisms
5. Any other topic matching the objectives of this workshop

Instructions to send the papers (*.pdf) will be posted on the symposium website. All papers are subject to a thorough peer review process. In this one‐day symposium, researchers—from around the world—who have worked on it since the inception of this field will talk about their personal experiences and perspectives on the past, present, and future of compliant mechanisms. Many important aspects of compliant mechanisms will be covered in the symposium.
