We are happy to announce the establishment of ACM special interest group on health informatics (SIGHIT) and associated email lists

You can join SIGHIT now at https://campus.acm.org/public/qj/GenSIGQJ/siglist/gensigqj_siglist.cfm by clicking into "SIGHIT Membership – Health Informatics". According to the information shown on that web page, the membership fee is $20 per year for professionals, and $12 per year for students. SIGHIT members will have access to IHI (ACM international health informatics symposium, http://ihi2010.sighi.org/) conference proceedings and SIGHIT Record (the SIGHIT newsletter) in the ACM digital library, and obtain discount on IHI registration fee etc.

Irrespective of whether you are SIGHIT member or not, you can enter your email address at http://signup.acm.org/listserv_index.cfm?ln=sighit-discussion
to be added into sighit-discussion@acm.org, the SIGHIT Discussions email list. Then you can post messages for distributing conference, journal, book, grant, software, and job information related to health informatics. This email list is moderated by "Umit V. Catalyurek" (umit@bmi.osu.edu)
