The 6th RNA Metabolism in Neurological Disease Conference will take place in San Diego, USA, March 29-31, 2026.

This two-day conference organized by Fen-Biao Gao (University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School), Aaron Gitler (Stanford University) and Dorothee Dormann (Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz) will bring together together basic, clinical and industry scientists around the world to discuss the roles of perturbed RNA metabolism in neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), fragile X syndrome, frontotemporal dementia (FTD), spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), and several other repeat expansion disorders.

Topics will include:
• Dysregulated RNA metabolism in neurological diseases
• Physiological functions of disease-linked RNA-binding proteins
• Biomolecular condensates and their role in normal RNA processing and in disease
• Human genetics and genomics insights into neurological diseases
• Structural insights into pathological RNA-binding proteins
• Novel biomarkers due to dysregulated RNA metabolism
• RNA-based therapeutics
