Textos Híbridos, the electronic journal dedicated to the study of the Latin American chronicle from the Conquest to the present day, invites the submission of critical studies on the Latin American literary chronicle for its JULY 2015 issue. The journal seeks to lend additional visibility to the chronicle as an important genre and to promote dialogue on a literary form that has been continually marginalized despite its wide readership and far-reaching influence in Latin America. It also aims to extend the definition of chronicle beyond its traditional boundaries to include other artistic forms such as song, caricature, and multimedia and to encourage transnational and transhistorical studies as well as studies on the crónica chicana/latina produced in the United States. The journal also welcomes submissions of original chronicles and creative work.
Please submit critical essays, media or reviews electronically through the journal´s website or by e-mail attachment to: aworkman@pepperdine.edu or vmahieux@uci.edu (book reviews).
The deadline for submissions to the JULY 2015 issue is MAY 15, 2015. For more information on Textos Híbridos or to submit materials, please use the following link: http://www.textoshibridos.com
