Smart Cities are the result of the increasingly urgent need to orient our lives towards sustainability. Therefore, these cities use infrastructure, innovation and technology to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, in order to improve the quality of life of their citizens. Being a strategic issue that brings new challenges, the organizers request participation in the IV Ibero-American Congress of Smart Cities (ICSC-CITIES 2021), which will be a discussion forum that will create synergies among different research groups to favor the development of Smart Cities. Because of the uncertainty and the current situation in different countries by the pandemic of the Covid-19, the organization of the III Iberoamerican Congress has decided to celebrate it in virtual mode. The accepted papers will be presented by video (in real-time or recorded) on the original dates. You are invited to register and submit contributions, and contribute to their knowledge and integration in different scenarios, their possible development and the strategies to address them. ICSC-CITIES 2021 will take place on November 29-December 01, 2021 in Cancun, Mexico with the sponsorship of the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED). List of topics: * IoT and ubiquitous devices * Smart Mobility * Energy * Smart grid * Governance and Citizenship * Energy Efficiency and Sustainability * Smart Industry * Smart Environment * Smart Economy, Development, and Education * Smart Public Services (waste management, health, public transportation, etc.) * Artificial Intelligence for Smart Cities * Urban Informatics, Big Data, Data Management and Analytics for Smart Cities * Other developments for Smart Cities Submission Guidelines: All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for Latex or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Authors can choose to present their papers in Spanish, Portuguese or English. The paper should not exceed 15 pages and the file size should not exceed 5 MiB. Publication: The Committee of Experts is committed to selecting the best papers written in English for submission to Springer, a prestigious publisher that will be in charge of putting together proceedings for the conference at the Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series. In addition, authors of selected articles will be invited to ehnance their contribution to be submitted for publication in a special issue of the Revista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia and in a special number of the open access journal applied Sciences, published by MDPI (publication free of charge). At least 40% of original content is required. |
