The 18th RECOMB-CG workshop will be held virtually from 21–24 September 2021.


Contributions on any theoretical and/or empirical approach to genome-wide comparison are welcome. Topics of interest include:

genome rearrangements,
genomic variation,
diversity and dynamics,
gene identification and annotation,
methods for genome assembly,
cancer evolutionary genomics,
comparative epigenomics,
population genomics,
phylogenomics, paleogenomics, epidemiology and related areas,
machine learning in genomics.

Submitted papers must have not been published or submitted under consideration for publication in any other journal or conference with formal proceedings. All accepted papers will have to be presented by one of the authors at the conference.

Authors need to register on easychair before submitting. A standard PDF file must be received by midnight on June 7, 2021 (in the authors’ time zone). Resubmission of the manuscript will be possible until June 14, 2021. Papers must be at most 12 pages long, excluding the bibliography. A clearly marked appendix can be added to the submission that contains supplementary material made available to the reviewers.

Accepted papers will be invited for being published in a special issue of Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, which is a SCI bioinformatics journal. Accepted papers must be submitted in format according to the guidelines for authors of the journal.
