Scope
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming intertwined in the development of the modern world. It has acted as a major factor for emerging technologies in robotics, healthcare, transportation, Internet of Things (IoT), media, finance, education, and many more. Big Data analytics - for example looking at market trends, correlations, customer preferences, and hidden patterns - are becoming intrinsic to making informed business decisions, including the use of complex applications with predictive models, statistical algorithms, and what-if analysis driven by analytics systems. Healthcare is becoming increasingly reliant on mobile health (mHealth) and electronic health (eHealth). A fundamental theme of mHealth is to monitor health through mobile phones and wearable patient monitoring gadgets, and to contribute to the increasingly mobile/wireless medical diagnosis, treatment and health care delivery systems. Relatedly, eHealth involves data types such as medical images and electronic health records, as well as information governance. When combined with the application of AI and Big Data analytics, mHealth and eHealth aim to provide an effective healthcare system. This Special Issue is planned to act as a stage for researchers who are working on eHealth and mHealth using Big Data analytics and AI. We invite the authors to submit their original, unpublished research and literature review articles. Authors are encouraged to discuss the importance of data privacy and security in the context of eHealth and mHealth data, as well as compliance with privacy legislation such as GDPR and HIPAA.
