The 8th Workshop on Algorithms and Models for the Web Graph (WAW 2011) will take place at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, May 28-29, 2011. This is an annual meeting, which is traditionally co-located with another, related, conference. WAW 2011 will be co-located with the 15th International Conference on Random Structures and Algorithms. (The RS&A conference, organized biennially since 1983, brings together probabilists, discrete mathematicians and theoretical computer scientists working in probabilistic methods, random structures and randomized algorithms.)
Here you can find more information on the event: http://waw2011.math.wvu.edu/ The list of plenary speakers of WAW2011 includes: - Fan Chung [University of California, San Diego] - Colin Cooper [King's College] The list of plenary speakers of RSA2011 includes: - Bela Bollobas [University of Cambridge and University of Memphis] - Jennifer Chayes [Microsoft] - Jacob Fox [Massachusetts Institute of Technology] - David Gamarnik [Massachusetts Institute of Techology] - Jeff Kahn [Rutgers University] - Subhash Khot [Courant Institute] - Yoshi Kohayakawa [University of Sao Paulo] - Eric Vigoda [Georgia Institute of Technology] - Nick Wormald [University of Waterloo] WAW 2011 invites original research papers on all aspects of algorithmic and mathematical research in the areas pertaining to the World-Wide Web, especially papers that espouse the view of complex data as networks. Submissions are invited in, but not limited to, the following areas: - Algorithms: graph algorithms, clustering, collaborative filtering, and related computational models such as data streams, MapReduce/Hadoop. - Analysis: structural properties, visualization, patterns, communities, discovery. - Data Models: graph models, evolution, trust and reputation networks. - Topics: Web, social networks, recommender networks, citation networks, Wikipedia, biological networks, blogs, p2p. - Applications: web mining, social applications, web search and ranking. Important Dates: - Full paper submission: February 15, 2011 - Notification of acceptance: March 15, 2011 - Final version due: April 1, 2011 The papers must be formatted according to Springer LNCS style. The maximum length of papers is at most 12 pages. The workshop proceedings will be published as a Springer LNCS volume.
