The 14th IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (iThings 2021)
December 06 - 08, 2021, Melbourne, Australia http://nsclab.org/ithings2021/ As the earliest IEEE international conference on Internet of Things, the 2021 IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (iThings-2021) will provide a high-profile, leading-edge forum for researchers, engineers, and practitioners from both academic and industrial communities to present state-of-the-art advances and innovations in theories, systems, infrastructure, tools, testbeds, technologies and applications for the IoT, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future of the Internet of Everything (IoE). This conference aims to bring together researchers and application developers working in IoT and developing next-generation applications, algorithms, frameworks and solutions to support the growth of IoT. We also welcome high-quality research, work in progress, real-world experiment and deployment use case papers that address the challenges and gaps in the current state-of-the-art in the areas mentioned below (but not limited to). * Important Dates Paper Submission: August 15, 2021, AoE Notification of Acceptance: September 18, 2021, AoE Registration and Camera-ready Due: October 06, 2021 Conference Dates: December 06 - 08, 2021, Monday-Wednesday * Topics Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Track 1: IoT Enabling Technologies • Actuator and acting technologies • Low power and energy harvesting • Real-time systems for IoT • IoT big data analytics • Cloud/fog/edge computing for IoT Track 2: IoT Networks & Communications • Wireless communication protocols • 5G and next generation networks • Self-organizing networks • Lightweight communications Track 3: IoT Services and Intelligence • Artificial intelligence for IoT • Open Platforms for IoT • Distributed Machine Learning for IoT • Semantic Computing for IoT • IoT security, privacy and trust Track 4: IoT Systems and Applications • Industrial IoT applications • Agriculture IoT applications • Environmental monitoring • Supply Chain for IoT • Business system for IoT Track 5: IoT and Data • Quality of Data for IoT • Quality of Service for IoT • Quality of Experience for IoT * Journal Special Issues Selected papers presented at the IEEE Cybermatics Congress 2021 will be invited to consider submission (after significant extension) to the special issue in the following SCI-indexed journals: • IEEE Network Magazine • IEEE Internet of Things Journal • Information Fusion • MDPI Electronics • MDPI Sensors • Future Generation Computer Systems • International Journal of Intelligent Systems • Mobile Information Systems * Paper Submission Guidelines All papers need to be submitted electronically through the conference website with PDF format. Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. A submission is limited to 8 pages for main conference regular papers or 4 pages for poster papers in the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Format with Portable Document Format (.pdf). Paper submission templates can be found here - https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Paper not following the IEEE templates will be rejected without reviews. A submission can have at most 4 additional pages with the pages overlength charge if accepted. Papers must be clearly presented in English, including tables, figures, references and appendices. Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation assessed by at least three reviewers. Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and present the work, with either online or offline presentation. IEEE iThings 2021 reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from the digital library and indexing services), if the paper is not presented at the conference. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted in the IEEE for indexing. Distinguished papers presented at the conference, after further revision, will be published in special issues of high quality international journals. Two or three outstanding papers will be selected to receive the Best Paper Awards. * Organizing Committees General Chairs • Dimitrios Georgakopoulos, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia • Schahram Dustdar, TU Wien, Austria • Tao Gu, Macquarie University, Australia Program Chairs • Prem Prakash Jayaraman, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia • Karan Mitra, Lulea University of Technology, Sweden • Haipeng Dai, Nanjing University, China Publicity Chairs • Ali Hassani, Deakin University, Australia • Federico Montori, University of Bologna, Italy Web Publication Chairs • Minfeng Qi, Swinburne University, Australia Steering Chairs • Jianhua Ma, Hosei University, Japan • Laurence T.
