International Conference on Digital Image Computing: Techniques and Applications (DICTA) is the main Australian conference on machine vision, image processing, pattern recognition and related areas. Since its establishment, DICTA has been a biannual meeting. In 2008, it turned into an annual conference. It is the conference of the Australian Pattern Recognition Society (APRS).
DICTA 2020 is being held in Melbourne, Australia in 29 November - 2 December 2020. This year, the conference will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, a prime location to be able to explore Melbourne's city centre and all the sites. The format of the conference will be single-track with both short track and long track papers being accepted this year to provide greater opportunity for contributions from the community to be shared, discussed and celebrated. For short track submissions, we encourage the following to consider this opportunity; - those who have already had their research published but have not yet had the opportunity to present to the community - Bachelor/Masters/Final year project students who have completed research in a novel area Please note the short tract paper deadline is 14 August 2020. For the long track submissions, we are delighted to announce that this year, the top 20-30% papers will receive a recommendation to the following SIS: -ACM Trans. on Internet Technology -Pattern Recognition -IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica -IEEE Internet of Things Journal -Computers and Electrical Engineering The DICTA2020 committee acknowledge the challenging circumstances and to ensure a successful conference are offering a hybrid conference format which will allow those unable to travel to still have an engaging and informative online DICTA conference experience. Topics of short track and long track papers include but are not limited to; Artificial intelligence Machine learning Computer vision Robotic vision Pattern recognition Deep learning Cognitive computing Video understanding and processing Image coding and processing Shape and texture analysis Biometrics, face and gesture and action recognition Surveillance, defence and industrial applications Remote sensing and spectral imaging Astronomical image analysis Statistical and structural pattern recognition Human-computer interaction Biomedical and e-health applications Content-based image retrieval and image databases For all paper submissions please visit the DICTA2020 website to be directed to the submission portal. On behalf of the DICTA2020 Organising Committee, we are excited to see you all and celebrate your research accomplishments. |
