----- FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS ---- ________________________________ BES 2020 1st International Workshop on Blockchain and Enterprise Systems Riga, Latvia November 25, 2020 http://pros.unicam.it/bes2020/ (Associated with POEM 2020) ________________________________ IMPORTANT DATES Paper submission: September 11, 2020 Notification of acceptance: October 16, 2020 Final version: October 30, 2020 Workshop: November 25, 2020 ________________________________ WORKSHOP SCOPE Nowadays, in an interconnected society, there is a growing need for coordination among different organisations, asking for trustable solutions to develop enterprise systems. Enterprise architectures integrate well-defined principle and practice for the analysis, design, planning, and implementation, for the successful development and execution of enterprise systems. To achieve an effective digital transformation, the organizations need to close the gap between business, information, processes and technology necessary to achieve their final strategy. In such a field blockchain technology can bring huge advantages in many sectors, it can guarantee the integrity and immutability of data without relying on a central authority or any particular entity. Thus blockchain can be considered the enabling technology that guarantees a tamper-proof execution of contractual obligations among the involved organisations. Both academia and industry are showing an increasing interest in the field of blockchain. However, for a large adoption of this technology, recent challenges should be addressed, especially for what concerns the support of multiple blockchain platforms and the generation of the related smart contracts, breaking the technological barriers for non-expert users. The scientific results of the workshop have the ambition to change the way one thinks, designs and implements enterprise systems. From the technical perspective, the workshop can contribute to breaking the technological barriers for wider use of the blockchain, proposing novel approaches for the definition of enterprise systems. Conceptual, technical, application-oriented and case study contributions are welcomed within the themes of this workshop. ________________________________ TOPICS: Include (but are not limited to) both theoretical and practical solutions for what follows: - Enterprise architecture for blockchain - Collaboration mechanisms in blockchain - Software architecture for blockchain - Interoperability between blockchains - Blockchain as a service - Data management for blockchain - Security, privacy, and trust for blockchain - Identity management in blockchain - Performance, scalability, and optimization for blockchain - Simulation environments for blockchain - Auditing in blockchain - Oracles for blockchain - Technological barrier in the blockchain adoption - Legal Aspect in blockchain - DSL and meta-models for smart contracts - Design, implementation, deployment of smart contracts - Maintenance, testing and verification of smart contracts - Automatic generation of smart contracts - Security, Privacy, and trust in smart contracts - Multichain smart contracts - Optimization of smart contracts - Engineering methodology for DApps - Requirements engineering for DApps - Verification, validation and testing techniques for DApps - Case and usability studies of DApps (society, industries, business, etc.) - Blockchain (in) Education ________________________________ PROCEEDINGS Accepted papers will be published in joint CEUR-WS proceedings. ________________________________ SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS Papers must be original, unpublished and submitted electronically in PDF format no later than September 11, 2020.
