The conference will feature research and industry presentations, keynote presentations, workshops, demonstrations, tutorials, and a PhD track. Please refer to www.icsoc.org for calls for workshops, demonstrations, and tutorials.

Topics of Interest
ICSOC 2011 seeks outstanding, original contributions, including solid theoretical and empirical evaluations as well as practical and industrial experiences -- with emphases on results that solve open research problems and make a significant impact to the emerging fields of cloud computing and service- -oriented, cloud-based computing as well.

Specific topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Service-oriented Architecture
Services on the Cloud - XaaS (everything as a service including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
Grid and Cloud Services
Social networks and services
Human-provided and outsourcing services
Theoretical and Technical Service Foundations
Business Service Modeling and Business Process Modeling
Service Integration and Orchestration on the Cloud

Research and Industry Papers
The conference solicits outstanding original research and practice papers on all aspects of service-oriented, cloud-based computing. Papers should clearly demonstrate the research or practical contribution, the relevance to the field, and the relation to prior work. Submitted papers will be evaluated according to their rigor, significance, originality, technical quality, and exposition.

Paper Submission

INDUSTRY TRACK

The Industry Track at ICSOC 2011 is intended to highlight practical system experiences, proofs-of-concepts and practical research in the broader domain of topics at ICSOC. Like regular papers, Industry Track papers will undergo a review process by an international TPC and will appear in the post-conference workshop proceedings to be published by Springer as part of the Service Science series. However, the selection criteria for Industry Track papers are slightly different. Papers should describe applications, prototypes or case studies with practical relevance, including work that has been conducted in collaboration with industry partners. Papers with narrow algorithmic focus or unexplored high-level ideas or designs are discouraged.

A key goal of the Industry Track is to expose the academic and industrial research communities to practical, real-life problems in the focus areas of ICSOC 2011: service-oriented computing and cloud-based innovative applications for 21st century enterprises.
We invite submissions about the state of the art in these fields, reports on novel practical research in an industrial environment, experience and best-practice reports, evaluation reports on the benefits of service-oriented computing in practice, use case studies and applications of service-oriented technologies. Papers about novel products are within the scope of the ICSOC Industrial Track.

PAPER SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION

Papers must be formatted according to the ICSOC paper submission guidelines:
http://www.icsoc2011.cs.ucy.ac.cy/index.php?p=Submission
Papers should not exceed 12 pages including all references and figures. All papers must be prepared in the Springer LNCS format and be submitted electronically (in PDF) via the conference Web site. At least one author of accepted paper is expected to register for and attend the ICSOC 2011 conference in Paphos.
