Call For Papers

In the last two decades, the International Workshops on Digital-forensics and Watermarking (IWDW) have been established as a premier forum for researchers and practitioners working on novel researches, developments and applications of multimedia security. Following this tradition, the IWDW 2020 is aimed at providing a technical program covering the state-of-the-art theoretical and practical developments in the field of digital watermarking, steganography and steganalysis, forensics and anti-forensics, and other multimedia-related security issues.

This workshop is organized by the Digital Research & Innovation Capability Platform at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and the State Key Laboratory of Information Security at Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
*Authentication, copyright protection, DRM, and forensics watermarking
*Channel coding techniques for watermarking
*Convolutional neural networks (CNN) and deep learning for multimedia security
*Combination of data hiding and cryptography
*Fake multimedia forensics and anti-forensics
*AI generated multimedia and detection of them
*Information theoretic, stochastic and capacity aspects of data hiding
*Large-scale experimental tests and benchmarking
*Deepfake videos and detection of them
*Statistical and perceptual models of multimedia content for multimedia security
*Reversible data hiding
*Robust perceptual hashing
*Security issues in multimedia protection, including attacks and counter-attacks
*Steganography and steganalysis
*Source identification
*Visual cryptography and secret image sharing

Each submitted paper will be reviewed by at least 2 reviewers. There will be two prizes: one for the best paper and the other for the best paper with a student as the first author. The proceedings of IWDW 2020 will be published on the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer.

Important Notification: Due to the Covid-19 epidemic situation, in case that the global travel restrictions are not lifted by the time, the authors may choose to either deliver an online report or deliver an onsite report. In any case, any accepted and reported paper will be published.

Paper Submission
Submitted manuscripts must not substantially overlap with the ones that have been published or are simultaneously under review by other journals or conferences. Submissions should be properly anonymized for double blinded review, therefore author names and their affiliations should be removed and language be adjusted to prevent easy identification.

The submissions must be clearly presented in English, and made as a PDF file of no more than 15 pages. The templates are available at http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0. For more details and submission guidelines, please visit www.iwdw.site.

The conference papers will be selected based on reviewer’s feedback, including the originality, significance, relevance, clarity of presentation, correctness, etc. Should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors need register and attend the conference to present the work.
