MASCOTS 2023: International Symposium on the Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems
Stony Brook, New York, USA - October 16-18, 2023 Conference website: https://mascots.iitis.pl/ Submission link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mascots2023 The MASCOTS 2023 conference encourages original submissions describing state-of-the-art research in the areas of the performance evaluation of computer systems and networks as well as in related areas. Papers describing results of theoretical and/or practical significance are solicited. Experimental, modelling and simulation studies are all in the scope of the conference. Works focusing on novel performance evaluation methods or providing insights on design and runtime management tradeoffs are particularly encouraged. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): Big data and advanced machine learning techniques for system design, optimization and cybersecurity Combining quality of service and cybersecurity in system performance Cloud/edge/fog technologies Computer architectures, multi-core processors, accelerators (e.g., GPUs), and memory systems Computer networks, protocols and algorithms Databases and big data systems and technologies Energy efficient computer systems Internet of Things Mobile systems Multimedia systems Operating systems and virtualization technologies Security in computer and communication systems Smart grids and cyber-physical systems Social networks Storage and file systems Sustainable (or energy-efficient) computing Web systems, enterprise applications and web services Wireless, mobile, ad-hoc and sensor networks Submissions must be formatted in IEEE style using two-columns and may be up to 8 pages in length, including tables, figures, appendices, and references. The Proceedings of MASCOTS 2023 will be published in IEEEXplore (approval pending). A selection of the accepted papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their work to a special issue in the Performance Evaluation (PEVA) journal. Papers that are not accepted for the conference program will be considered for the MASCOTS’23 Workshop and, if accepted, may then be published in another Open Access venue.
