Call For Papers

The EBE Graduate Program is pleased to announce the 3rd Evidence Based Economics (EBE) Summer Meeting taking place from June 25 to 27, 2020 in Herrsching at Lake Ammer near Munich, Germany. The general theme of the conference is Applied Microeconomics, including empirical as well as applied theory work. The EBE Summer Meeting offers PhD students an opportunity to present their work, receive feedback and connect with peers from other departments worldwide.

Keynote Speakers
We are happy to announce Jen Brown (University of Utah) & Selim Gulesci (Bocconi University) as our keynote speakers who will also provide feedback during sessions.

Submissions
The EBE Summer Meeting will feature both presentations and poster sessions. We invite PhD students to submit full papers or extended abstracts (3-4 pages). Each paper presentation will be discussed by another participant.
Please send your submissions to ebe-summer-meeting@econ.lmu.de no later than February 29, 2020.
The full paper version of your submission is due on June 1 if you submitted an extended abstract and received an acceptance for a presentation session. Acceptance notifications will be sent out by mid-March 2020.

Best Paper Award
The best paper submitted and presented at the conference will be awarded a prize of EUR 300. The best papers will be presented in a plenary session.

Costs
There is no conference fee. Conference meals and accommodation will be covered for invited participants. In cases where financial assistance is not available from a researcher’s university, we may be able to offer a limited number of travel grants.

The EBE Summer Meeting is organized exclusively by doctoral students of the Evidence-Based Economics Graduate Program. The EBE doctoral program is a joint undertaking of the Universities of Munich, Erlangen-Nuremberg and Regensburg and is funded by the Elite Network of Bavaria .
