INForum is the Portuguese annual symposium on computer science,
applied informatics, and information technology. The INForum is thus a
privileged event for interacting and networking with the Portuguese
academic and industrial research communities, of particular interest
to Portuguese and Portuguese-speaking researchers and graduate
students around the world.

The topics addressed by INForum are dynamic and wide ranging, being
selected competitively every year. Now in its fourth edition, the
INForum is being organized at Caparica by the Universidade Nova de
Lisboa on September 6-7, 2012. This edition welcomes contributions in
both Portuguese and English languages on the following topics:

* Software Science and Engineering
* Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing
* Parallel, Distributed, and Large-Scale Computing Systems
* Information Technology for Energy
* Internet of Things and Services
* Data and Knowledge Management
* Computer and Network Systems Security
* Embedded and Real-Time Systems


Submission and Publication
==========================

Authors are invited to submit previously unpublished papers on
original work on the topics listed above. Papers will be reviewed and
selected by the program committees for each topic.

All papers must comply with the Springer-Verlag's "Lecture Notes in
Computer Science" format, not exceed 12 pages including bibliographic
references, and be written in either Portuguese or English language.

Accepted papers will be presented at the Symposium and published in the
proceedings of INForum 2012.


Important Dates
===============

June 10: Deadline for abstract submission
June 17: Deadline for paper submission
July 8: Author notification
July 16: Camera-ready papers submission
September 6-7: INForum 2012 at Universidade Nova de Lisboa

Abstracts must be submitted until June 10 (2-3 paragraphs), to
expedite the work of program committees. Full papers must be submitted
until June 17.

Important note: A paper will not be considered if the abstract has not
been previously submitted.
