Call For Papers

** Call for Book Chapters **

Title: Vehicular Communications and Networks: Automotive Applications, Threats, and Countermeasures
Editors: Dr Niaz Chowdhury and Dr Lewis MacKenzie
Publisher: CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group

Vehicular Communications have been around as a thriving research topic for the past three decades. Despite much efforts from the scientific communities to solve critical problems surrounding this domain, there is no sign of having them all settled just yet. One possible reason could have been the dynamics of the field. It has been changing as time passes by. The nature of vehicles and how they communicate with each other keep changing, giving the community new research challenges every few years. This book aims to embrace the latest problems that next-generation smart cars may encounter and likes to present solutions to those obstacles.

The authors look forward to receiving book chapter proposals covering the areas listed below:

** Vehicular Communication Protocols **
Routing Protocols for Vehicular Networks
Value-added Services in Vehicular Networks
Accident Warning and Collision Avoidance Systems
Safety Protocols for Smart Cars
Single-hop Sensor Networks for Smart Cars

** Security, Privacy and Trust Issues **
Securing Vehicular Communications
Enhancing Trust in Vehicular Communications
Privacy-preserving Communication Protocols
GDPR and Vehicular Network Privacy
Use of Blockchain Technology in Vehicular Network

** Smart Car Applications **
Sustainable Commuting using Electric Vehicles
Blockchain-based Smart Car Use-cases
Applications leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Applications leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT)
Submission Guideline

Please write a proposal no more than 1000 words describing the followings:

1. A brief introduction of the chapter
2. Potential problems that the chapter would addresses
3. Possible methods to solve the problems
4. Key contributions to the chapter
5. The proposal must provide supplementary information outside the word limits stated above containing the title of the chapter, the name of the authors and their short bio (150 words each).
