The Air & Waste Management Association's MEGA Symposium returns in 2021 with a focus on the transition of the electric power industry to cleaner and climate resilient electric power that can remain cost-effective and reliable. With a 20-year history, this conference has adapted as the industry’s demands and key interests have changed, switching its focus from advancements in emissions control technologies towards environmental and energy policy, renewable energy sources, and transformative projects.
The conference committee is seeking presentations that address the myriad of issues that the industry is currently facing, including: • Greenhouse Gas Emissions Controls and Management • Energy Technology Issues • Air Pollution Controls and Issues for Coal- and Gas-Fired Generation • Effluent and Byproduct Management • Clean Water Issues • Permitting, Siting and Decommissioning • Renewables, Storage and Electrification • Other timely topics related to the conference Proposals for presentations should be submitted by July 23, 2021. Each proposal should be 150 or fewer words in length and be sent via email to MEGA@awma.org. All submittals will be reviewed by the conference steering committee for inclusion in the conference program. Final presentations will be 25 minutes, inclusive of the presentation and a short question-and-answer period and final notification to presenters will be provided on or before August 15, 2021. |
