Call for Papers
On behalf of the AI Technology & Systems (AITS), the AITS Opensource Committee is sponsoring a call for papers relating to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. The Committee welcomes papers on any Artificial Intelligence related topic. Suggested topics may include: 1. Artificial Intelligence 2. Machine Learning 3. Deep Learning Authors of accepted papers may be invited to present their work at the AITS Summit 2019. In addition, the papers will be published in the AITS opensource Journal 2019 and will be available on the AITS Web Site prior. Both AITS associates and non-members are invited to submit proposals for papers. Call Paper Timetable Timely submission of the papers is critical to the success of the program. The procedures and timetable enumerated below will apply. Deadline for Proposals By August 25, 2019, authors should submit a one to two page proposal for their papers including the title, a short description of the topic(s) to be addressed, the approach that will be taken, and a survey of existing actuarial literature on the subject (title and abstract of a maximum of the five most relevant papers). Proposals, along with authors’ contact information, should be submitted via e-mail to the Researchers Committee at hi@aitechsystems.com. Please put "AITS Summit 2019" in the subject line. Acceptance of Proposals By September 15 2019, the Committee will make a decision on all proposals. The number of accepted proposals might be limited. The Committee will contact authors regarding their proposals. Prize Competition All papers submitted and accepted in response to the call and meeting the minimum standards established by the Committee will be included in the Competition Letter. A prize Certificate is available for papers submitted in response to the call. If awarded, prizes will be presented to the author(s) at the AITS Summit 2019. There is no guarantee that everyone gets the certificate, set at a level to recognize more than one paper, shall be exhausted. The criteria for evaluation will reflect: 1. Originality of ideas, 2. Clarity of presentation, 3. Contribution to reinsurance literature, 4. Thorough treatment of those ideas. Submission Guidelines Paper must be no more than 10,000 words and should be prepared in accordance with the Research Paper Template, and the procedures in the Guide for Submission to AITS Summit 2019 on the AITS Web Site. It is assumed that authors formally grant AITS Summit the permission to publish the paper. Authors are encouraged to submit working draft of the paper in ipynb, .doc, .ppt or .pdf form for models or methods discussed or developed in their work. The AITS Opensource Committee looks forward to receiving proposals in response to the call, and is happy to respond to inquiries from interested parties. Your participation in this effort to produce new papers will contribute to the written body of knowledge for the AITS and to the success of the AITS Summit 2019 Call Paper Program.
