Call For Papers

Humans play a critical role in cyber security because different populations interact, and the infection of one person creates risk for another. Despite more and more privacy laws and global awareness of privacy content and consent, more and more people are falling victim to privacy related online cyber events. In the fast paced world of online data exchanges and global data sharing at the speed of light, online users need to be able to bounce back to a secured state as soon as possible after an incident. This workshop therefore focuses on cybersecurity that is specifically centred around humans. As both creators and users of technology and specifically cybersecurity models, techniques and approaches, the human (on both a cognitive and a behavioural level) should be at the centre of all design and development efforts. Humans and cyber security therefore includes a wide range of interactions, interfaces and intermediaries between humans and cyber components, with the aim of better understanding and mitigation of cyber security risks and concerns. The 2019 IEEE Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2019) will provide a forum where researchers in the social sciences, engineering, and computer sciences can share their latest research insights. We seek recent results as well as verification of previously validated theories.

Submission Guidelines
The 2019 Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2019) workshop calls for original and unpublished papers. Each paper can have at most 8 pages. The reviews will be double blind. The manuscripts should be formatted in the standard IEEE proceedings format (double-column, 10-pt font) and be submitted as PDF files (formatted for 8.5x11 inch paper) which can be found at https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Manuscripts should be submitted as PDF files through the EasyChair portal.
