Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The HCI-IS (Human-Computer Interaction in Information Society) is a conference organised by the Slovenian HCI community (ACM Chapter Bled). This is the fourth event organised by our community. The target audience of the conference are HCI researchers from academia and industry as well as other HCI enthusiasts.
HCI-SI conference is part of the Information Society multiconference which is organised by the Jožef Stefan Institute. Information for Authors We invite authors to present their work in three tracks on the conference: research, work-in-progress, and demonstrations. Research Papers HCI-IS research papers are publications of original research and industry best practices concerning the broader field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Papers should show impact on the development of HCI. Authors are invited to submit papers describing their research, case studies, practical guidelines and opinion papers. The specific topics embraced by the workshop include all aspects of Human-Computer Interaction and usability engineering. Work in progress HCI-IS work in progress papers are extended abstracts describing ongoing work, regardless it’s maturity. They are intended to stimulate debate and get feedback from the community. Although peer reviewed, papers in this track will not published. Demonstrations HCI-IS demonstrations can have the form of extended abstracts or posters. Authors are invited to bring a live demo to the conference so attendees can get hands on experience with the work presented. Writing instructions Authors should take into account the following: All papers must be written in English or Slovene and submitted in PDF format. Submissions should be formatted according the double-column format (template: Word, LaTeX). Papers must be fully anonymous, with no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or obvious references. The submission should begin with a title and a short abstract. The camera-ready paper will have 4 pages (including references, figures, affiliations etc.). The authors are encouraged to consider this point when preparing their submission. Papers not conforming to these requirements may be rejected without further consideration. Submission will undergo a double blind review: authors do not know the names of the reviewers of their papers, and reviewers do not know the names of the authors. Same directions apply for extended abstracts. The difference is that the contributions will not be subjected to the double blind reviewing process but only to a single blind reviewing process. The extended abstracts should have 1 or 2 pages (including references, figures, affiliations etc.). Submission Instructions Please submit your contribution through the conference EasyChair submission system. Presentation Authors of the accepted papers will have the possibility to showcase their work either as a presentation at the conference or with a live demo.
