The MITRE Corporation (www.mitre.org) will host the “Secure and Resilient Cyber Architectures” conference on Friday, October 29, 2010, in McLean, Va. The one-day conference will bring together practitioners, vendors, architects, and researchers to discuss and explore issues relating to secure and resilient architectures in the face of cyber attacks by the advanced persistent threat. The conference is intended to motivate the public and private community to consider available techniques and solutions for evolving today's IT architectures as well as innovative concepts for revolutionizing IT architectures to make them more secure and resilient within a threat analysis and risk management framework.
The conference will be a combination of panel discussions and presentations. Interested presenters are invited to submit short abstracts of original work on architectural strategies and techniques for resiliency against cyber attacks that address any of the following topics: Diversity Redundancy Virtualization Integrity Separation and Isolation Detection and Monitoring Non-persistence Distributedness and Moving Target Defense Adaptive Management and Responses Randomness and Deception Graceful Degradation Presenters who wish to organize and moderate a panel discussion on one or more of these themes should submit an abstract that includes the objective(s) of the panel discussion and the panel members.
