Virtually all aspects of modern life - our job, our culture, our relationships with one another - are being transformed by the profound forces of globalization. Goods and people flow across national borders, data and information flash the world, at an ever accelerating rate.
Not only has globalization become the central issue of our time, but it will define the world our children inherit. So, those concerned about the future must ask, how our primary and secondary schools prepare today’s students to be successful students in the global society, yet preserve national identity. Today educators are more relevant to the project of education than ever before – to scaffold new ways of knowing, to help children and youth to reach higher and more complex levels of understanding, and to guide students to achieving greater appreciation for cultural complexity and diversity. The aim of the forum is to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers to discuss issues, tackle real challenges, develop professionally, share opinions, find solutions and explore opportunities that are relevant with the theme of the forum. Conference topics will include, but are nor limited to: Leadership in Education Teaching for social change/awareness Early childhood Education Equity in Education Education for sustainability Education and Teaching in an information age Psychology, teaching and learning Healthy learning/teaching culture Extra curricular awareness for social awareness New pedagogic paradigms New tools for teaching Mobility in teaching and learning Educational policies and strategies Collaboration for successful teaching Virtual labs E-learning/Innovations in E-learning Social impact of Technology-Driven Education Assessment of learning vs. assessment for learning The conference welcomes proposals from experts in education, social sciences and public policy and government officials, scholars, academics, consultants, professional researchers, independent scholars, practitioners, post-docs and PhD/graduate students.
