The Arm Research Summit is a unique forum that brings together researchers from academia and industry to discuss topics likely to significantly impact computer science, engineering, and society. We aim to facilitate and encourage thought-provoking discussions, along with the potential for cross-disciplinary collaborations between academia and industry, including Arm. As in previous Summits, we will provide plenty of networking opportunities and continue to promote the development of a collaborative, diverse, and open Arm Research ecosystem.
Topics The Arm Research Summit hosts engaging presentations and posters that promote insightful discussions among peers. We welcome work in varying degrees of maturity and on a wide range of research topics. Early works-in-progress, late-breaking results, new takes on proven approaches, and recently published material are welcome. Submissions demonstrating cross-discipline collaboration or research across multiple threads will be warmly received. The Summit agenda is comprehensive, and welcomes research related to any of these broad topics: Biological, organic, molecular, and quantum computing Cybersecurity (both hardware and software aspects) Distributed systems Emerging semiconductor technology: transistors, photonic devices, process technology Human-computer interaction (HCI) Machine learning, Cognitive computing Micro-architecture Non-Von Neumann and post-Moore architectures Power management and green computing Programming models or runtime support Scalability and scalable systems Semiconductor applications: Automotive, Healthcare and devices, High-performance computing, Internet-of-things (IoT) and edge computing, Wearable computing Semiconductor systems architecture, i.e. CPU, memory, interconnect, system, etc. Semiconductor systems performance measurement, characterization, analysis, and prediction Social and societal impact of technology Software, i.e. operating systems, applications, services, tools, etc. Submission Information A review panel selected by the Arm Research Summit 2019 organizing committee will review every submission. Reviews will be single-blind, and each submission will receive at least three reviews. A successful talk or poster at the Arm Research Summit is one that inspires spirited discussions among the gathered experts from academia and industry. There will be no formal proceedings, however, presented materials will be published on the Arm Research Summit website and archived for future reference. Contributions are welcomed from students, researchers, and innovators at all stages of their careers, from academia, industry, and government organizations. We have a single submission process for presentations and posters. Please include: 1. Abstract A 250-500 word overview of your submission. 2. Submission description Objectives of the talk or poster, target audience, relevance for Arm, history of the talk or poster (new or if already presented, what changes will be made). 3. Short bio A 250-500 word bio of the presenter. 4. Optional: Supporting material Optionally include one additional material such as a poster, quad-chart, single slide, paper, presentation, etc. to help demonstrate key contributions. This material will only be used if a reviewer needs additional information. There is no hard page or slide count limit on the material, but short and concise materials are more likely to be reviewed in detail. Note: Every submission should be associated with at least one of the topics listed above (you may select up to three). Questions regarding scope should be directed to researchsummit@arm.com. On the submission site, please select the topics that your submission most closely relates to. It is not required to select ‘poster’ or ‘presentation’ when submitting, however, if you have a preference, please note it by selecting the appropriate options when submitting. During the review process, the Program Committee Chair may ask the authors to answer specific questions or to submit additional material to clarify the content of the talk or poster. Submit your presentation here by 13 May 2019: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=armsummit2019. In addition to Presentations and Posters, Arm is also calling for Demostrations and Workshop and BoF proposals. Check the full Call for Demonstrations and Call for Workshop/BoF Proposals at http://www.arm.com/summit. |
