The 7th International Conference on Variable Neighborhood Search (ICVNS 2019) will be co-organized by the EURO Working Group on Metaheuristics (EWG EU/ME) and the Laboratory of Information Systems, Intelligent Systems and Mathematical Modeling (SI2M) of the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA).
The main goal of the ICVNS 2019 is to provide a stimulating environment in which researchers coming from various scientific fields can share and discuss their knowledge, expertise and ideas related to the VNS Metaheuristic and its applications. The aim of the 7th edition of the ICVNS is to allow specialists and practitioners on Variable Neighborhood Search to effectively screen papers and participate in lively debates. --------------------------------------- Topics --------------------------------------- The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: THEORY AND METHODOLOGY: Theoretical or empirical analysis of VNS New variants of deterministic and stochastic VNS Continuous global VNS Convergent VNS methods Matheuristics and VNS Formulation space VNS Multi-objective VNS Parallel VNS VNS hybrids APPLICATIONS: Inventory, Scheduling, Routing, Supply Chains Clustering, data mining, Location Graphs, Communication Networks Discovery Sciences Packing and Covering Berth Allocation and Quay Crane Scheduling Other real world problems --------------------------------------- Paper submission --------------------------------------- The papers submitted for presentation at the conference must be original, not published or being considered elsewhere. Accepted abstracts will appear in the book of abstracts (without ISBN). These special issues will be dedicated to significantly extended and improved versions of the papers presented at the ICVNS 2019 conference.
