CALL FOR PAPER
The year of 2023 is going to be a significant milestone in the journey of the ACSS international symposium. As we celebrate a decade-long journey, we would like to invite researchers to submit original documentations of their research ideas to the International Symposium on Applied Computing for Software and Smart Systems (ACSS), to be held on September 15-16, 2023, at the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India. ACSS 2023 is being organized jointly by the University of Calcutta, India; Ca’ Foscari University, Venice, Italy, and Bialystok University of Technology, Bialystok, Poland. The symposium will include presentations of contributed papers, along with keynote lectures, and invited talks. Research Track: Research articles which document completed research works. Doctoral Track: Research articles from Ph.D. scholars, co-authored by the corresponding supervisor(s), documenting a part of their doctoral research work (hitherto unpublished). There would be a Special Mention Paper Award for this category. Industry Track: we are looking to minimize the known barriers to industry participation in software engineering research conferences. We invite practitioners to present and discuss significant problems and solutions within challenging and practical use-cases. All submitted papers may span 10-12 pages (as per Springer guidelines, following LNCS format). Selected manuscripts with high-quality contributions in the appropriate domain would be recommended for publishing in a special issue of the Springer Nature Journal Innovations in Systems & Software Engineering (ISSE) on “Systems Engineering and Security” (to be confirmed) and in a post-symposium issue of the International Journal of Biometrics (both indexed in Scopus). All the remaining accepted papers will be published in a Springer-Nature series volume indexed in Scopus, Thomson Reuters (ISI Proceedings), EI-Compendex, DBLP, etc. The ACSS Program Committee stresses on research integrity and has a no tolerance policy on the violation of code of ethics, in any form whatsoever. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: ●Requirements Engineering ●Analysis and Verification Techniques ●Software Security ●Robotics Software Specification and Verification ●Robotic Process Automation ●Internet of Things and Smart Computing ●Distributed Systems ●Big Data and System Design ●AI in Biometrics ●AI for Data Science ●AI for Cloud Computing ●Computational Biology ●Bioinformatics ●Parallel Computing Further detail about the ACSS 2023 general symposium is available at https://acss.cucse.org/ Please download the proceedings template from http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0. for the manuscript and author instructions. Each paper will receive at least two blind reviews. Please note that author names, affiliations, or any indication to previously published research works by the authors are not to be included explicitly in any form within the paper, failing which, the paper will be rejected.
