Call For Papers

Call for Workshops - AmI 2019

2019 European Conference on Ambient Intelligence (AmI 2019)
Rome, Italy, 13-15 November, 2019

http://www.ami-conferences.org/2019

The AmI2019 Workshop Committee invites proposals for one-day or half-day workshops affiliated with the conference. The workshops at AmI2019 will enhance and complement the conference program by providing an opportunity to present new or emerging and cutting-edge topics of particular interest in the field and related areas.

Note that AmI2019 workshops are expected to stimulate discussions on state-of-the-art, emerging, visionary, and perhaps controversial topics. Workshops should be organized to promote such lively interaction. Plans to promote interaction and discussion should be clearly addressed in the workshop proposals. The organizers of accepted workshops are required to announce the workshop and call for papers, solicit submissions, conduct the reviewing process, and decide upon the final workshop program. At least one organizer must be physically present at the workshop.

We invite workshop proposals in any topic(s) of interest to Ambient Intelligence and related to the conference. Workshops addressing new emerging research directions in ambient intelligence are especially welcome and encouraged.

ABOUT AMI 2019

The European Conference on Ambient Intelligence is the prime venue for research on Ambient Intelligence, with an international and interdisciplinary character. It brings together researchers and practitioners from the fields of science, engineering, and, design working towards the vision of Ambient Intelligence. AmI 2019 builds on the success of thirteen predecessor conferences, which started in 2003 with the EUSAI-event in Veldhoven, The Netherlands. More information about the AmI series can be found here: http://ami-conferences.org

Ambient intelligence refers to normal working and living environments being surrounded by embedded devices that can merge unobtrusively and in natural ways using information and intelligence hidden in the network connecting these devices (e.g. The Internet of Things). Such devices, each specialised in one or more capabilities, are intended to work together based on an infrastructure of intelligent systems, to provide a variety of services improving safety, security and the quality of life in ordinary living, travelling and working environments.

AmI2019 will provide a meeting point for each of these communities, aiming for intensive networking and scientific debate, and shaping visions of the future.

This year's event focus topic is “Data-driven Ambient Intelligence” that follows the vision of Calm Technology, where technology is useful but does not demand our full attention or interfere with our usual behavior and activities.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
