The 2013 IEEE International Conference on Cyber, Physical, and Social Computing
Beijing, China, August 20-23, 2012 http://www.china-iot.net/cpscom2013.htm as the sub-conference of WCC 2013: The 2013 IEEE World Cybermatics Congress (http://www.china-iot.net) in conjunction with iThings 2013: The 2013 IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (http://www.china-iot.net/ithings2013.htm) GreenCom 2013: The 2013 IEEE International Conference on Green Computing and Communications (http://www.china-iot.net/greencom2013.htm) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society (EI indexed)] [Extended versions of selected papers will be published in SCI-indexed journals] *IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies (TLT) *ACM Transactions on Intelligent Systems and Technology (ACM TIST) *IEEE System Journal *Computer Journal *International Journal of Sensor Networks *International Journal of Communication Systems *Frontiers of Computer Science in China *Chinese Journal of Electronics (More SCI/E-indexed journal will be announced) ************** 1. Introduction ************** As an emerging cross-disciplinary research area, the Cyber Physical System (CPS) is attracting attention worldwide. A Cyber-Physical Systems is a system featuring a combination of computational and physical elements, all of which are capable of interacting, reflecting and influencing each other. Furthermore, social systems are evolving with cyber systems and physical systems along with the popularity of online social networking. With the advent of ubiquitous sensing and networking, future social networks turn into cyber-physical interactions, which are attached with associated social attributes. The emergence of the cyber-physical-social computing will significantly change the way we see the world. In the mean time, the convergence of the physical, cyber, and social spaces will exhibit a variety of complicated characteristics, which brings more open issues and challenges for research communities. The 2013 IEEE International Conference on Cyber, Physical, and Social Computing (CPSCom 2013) will provide a high-profile, leading-edge forum for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to present state-of-art advances and innovations in theoretical foundations, systems, infrastructure, tools, testbeds, and applications for the CPSCom, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future. The CPSCom2013 is the 6th edition of the successful series, previously held as CPSCom 2012 (Besançon, France), CPSCom 2011 (Dalian, China), CPSCom 2010 (Hangzhou, China), CyberSocialCom 2009 (Hangzhou, China), and CPSC 2009 (Brisbane, Australia). ******** 2. Submission Information *********************** Authors are invited to submit original papers that must not have been submitted to, or have been published in, any other workshop, conference, or journal. All papers will be peer-reviewed by members of the Program Committee and be evaluated for originality, significance of the contribution, technical correctness, and presentation. Papers (the length of each paper could be from 1 page to 8 pages without overlength charges, the further allowed overlength could be up to 2 pages, each overlength page charge US$100.00) are solicited. Prepare your paper in IEEE CS format. Paper formatting instructions and templates (“8.5 x 11” two-column format) can be found at: http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/formatting Submit your paper as a PDF file at the CPSCom 2013 submission system: http://cse.stfx.ca/~CPSCom2013/sub/ ************** 5. Publications ************** Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, if the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the conference and attend the conference to present the work in order for the paper to be included in the IEEE Digital Library. Accepted papers will be published in proceedings of the CPSCom 2013 conference by IEEE Computer Society (EI indexed). Extended versions of selected best papers will be considered for publication in special issues of several SCI-indexed international journals. ************** 6.
