Call for abstracts:

This year nepUL is pleased to announce the new CFA for its new International
Political Studies Colloquium: More Representation = Democracy?.
There has been a growing debate within the media and academic realm in what
democracy is concerned. We may often consider the legitimacy of our
democracy when hearing an emerging expression of feelings of distrust towards
politicians, increasing abstention in many democratic countries and raise of
social frustration which leads to the election of so-called extremist parties, non-
politicians and populist views. As so, is representation a sufficient condition for
the existance of a democratic society or is it only necessary? If not, are the actions of the representants the answer or are institutions the biggest actors in
this political and social scenario?
We invite every undergraduate or graduate researcher to send us philosophical
or political science abstracts on the topic announced. We value works that
defend arguments and that stimulate the debate in the audience.
The abstracts should be written in portuguese, spanish, english or french
and should have a word count between 250 and 500 words.

1) Every submission should be sent in PDF without any reference to the
author;
