Call for Contributions
WWRF Meeting 25 16th – 18th November 2010, Newbury, UK Theme: Wireless for the next Generation WWRF is the primary forum of the global wireless industry bringing together over 100 member organizations from both industry and academic to develop the strategy for the world’s wireless future. At this WWRF meeting, working group sessions continuing the work of WWRF from radio, network and service perspectives will be complemented with a series of plenary sessions. These will discuss new challenges and innovative solutions, working at both a human and global scale, towards borderless communication that will enhance the quality of life, economic growth and a sustainable tomorrow. Why attend the meeting: Discussion on Next Generation mobile and wireless direction Global meetings and networking between industry and academic Research collaborations between international and local universities WWRF invites contributions to the Forum’s Working Groups (WGs) from WWRF members and non-members in the following categories: Identified research areas of WWRF WGs Identifying new research areas for mobile and wireless communications Contributing to or proposing new White Papers and Briefings Contributing to the WWRF system concept and requirements Proposing new research co-operations such as in the form of a project proposal WWRF invites researchers to share information and present results, with the intention of identifying open issues and providing examples of how to resolve those issues. Contributions including technical papers recounting recent research results and controversial but substantiated opinions that may influence the direction of future R&D work are solicited. Contributions relevant to the meeting theme are particularly, but not exclusively, encouraged. A selection of the contributions will be presented at the WWRF 25th meeting, along with the invited and keynote presentations. Additional selected papers will be presented at conference sessions organised by the Working Groups. Contributions that are accepted for the meeting will be published in the proceedings, and may be published as part of one of WWRF book series, or in a special issue of a technical journal. A strategic publishing partnership between WWRF and the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society was initiated at WWRF 21. A special section in IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine contains the best papers from each WWRF meeting, and WWRF 25 in Newbury will be no exception.
