International Workshop on Advance Technologies for First Responders

International Workshop on Advance Technologies for First Responders will be organised at the 16th International Conference on INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR CRISIS RESPONSE AND MANAGEMENT

Workshop date: May 19th, 2019
Venue: Valencia - Spain

SCOPE OF THE WORKSHOP
The Advance Technologies for First Responders (ATFR 2019) workshop aims at bringing together practitioners and researchers, both from emergency management and technical domains, to share ideas and experiences in designing and implementing novel tools, technologies, guidelines and methods aimed at facilitating first responders’operations.

The workshop welcomes novel research work that deals with new technologies to improve the protection of first responders against multiple and unexpected danger or enhance their capacities addressing related research issues. We particularly invite submissions that try to go beyond the “simple” computational approaches and try to discover the “hidden” intelligent information, evaluate how “good” they are, and how they can be validated for accuracy and reality. Hence, the workshop aims to attract and discuss various novel aspects of systems communication solutions between first responders and victims, recommendation and mitigation, risk anticipation and early warning technologies, social influence and prediction from multimodal data, big data and the Internet of Things.

WORKSHOP TOPICS
Overall, we are interested in receiving original research contributions relating to the following topics which include but are not limited to:

- Emerging mobile trends in first responder technology
- Victim-detection tools and technologies
- Multimodal data fusion, representation, and visualization
- Multi-risk models
- Virtual and augmented reality applications for emergency response
- Situational awareness and risk mitigation systems for first responders using robots
- Systems based on the Internet of Things
- Spatial temporal modelling and data mining
- Deep learning system for emergency response
- MaaS (Mobility as a Service) platform
- Human mobility modeling and prediction
- AI for emergency management
- Smart phone-based individual-centric emergency management
- Geo-visual analytics for emergency response

The workshop will be a full day programme. For accepted papers, at least one author must attend the workshop to present the work.
We are currently exploring options where papers submitted to this track can potentially be published in a special issue to a reputable journal.

SUBMISSION
Submissions should be made electronically in PDF format via the electronic submission system of the ATFR 2019 Conference Management system at:

https://easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?timeout=1;key=80608718.l7ppUG0bPJhyUfiG
