Call For Papers

Call for Papers

The information surrounding us is not only overwhelming but also subject to limitations of systems and applications, including specialized devices. The diversity of systems and the spectrum of situations make it almost impossible for an end-user to handle the complexity of the challenges. Embedding intelligence in systems and applications seems to be a reasonable way to move some complex tasks form user duty. However, this approach requires fundamental changes in designing the systems and applications, in designing their interfaces and requires using specific cognitive and collaborative mechanisms. Intelligence become a key paradigm and its specific use takes various forms according to the technology or the domain a system or an application belongs to.

INTAP 2020, The 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Technologies and Applications, is the inaugural event on advances towards fundamental, as well as practical and experimental aspects of intelligent applications.

We solicit both academic, research, and industrial contributions. We welcome technical papers presenting research and practical results, position papers addressing the pros and cons of specific proposals, such as those being discussed in the standard fora or in industry consortia, survey papers addressing the key problems and solutions on any of the above topics short papers on work in progress, and panel proposals.

The topics suggested by the conference can be discussed in term of concepts, state of the art, research, standards, implementations, running experiments, applications, and industrial case studies. Authors are invited to submit complete unpublished papers, which are not under review in any other conference or journal in the following, but not limited to, topic areas.

All topics and submission formats are open to both research and industry contributions.

INTAP 2020 conference tracks:

Intelligence: Agents, deep learning, machine learning, web intelligence, multiple intelligence, etc.
IoT: Sensor based Systems, Smart buildings, Wearable systems, Implantable Systems, etc.
Data Analysis: Big data analytics, text analytics, web analytics, business intelligence, etc.
Decision Support Systems: Health systems, sales optimization, etc.
Intelligent Environments: Ambient, virtual, and mixed reality, semantic web, etc.
Social Media Analytics: Text mining, opinion mining, sentiment analysis, etc.
Robotics: Machine Design, Industrial IT, Intelligent Monitoring, Robotics & Vision, Collaborative Robots (CoBots)
Smart Environments: Pervasive intelligence, ubiquitous computing, RFID and BLE, etc.
Communication: Affective interactions, intelliVision, multimedia learning, intelligent video surveillance
Natural Language Systems: tools, theories, and case studies

Submission Categories:

The conference solicits original, high-quality submissions in the following categories:

Full Papers

INTAP 2020 invites full papers that describe original, complete and unpublished work having contribution to knowledge in any of the topics listed above. Papers must provide sufficient details and support for their claims and conclusions. They must cite relevant published research, highlight novel aspects of the submission, and identify its most significant contributions. The maximum length for a full paper is 12 pages (including references) in the Springer (Word) or (Latex) format. The full papers will appear online in Springer Digial Library and abstracts will be archived in Springfield Digital library and will be invited for extended version publication in ISI journals with impact factors i.e. CAEE (IF: 1.57) and CAI (IF: 0.48).

Short Papers

INTAP 2020 invites short papers that describe work with results and having contribution to knowledge in any of the topics listed above. The submission for short papers must provide sufficient details about the nature of the work, cite relevant published research, highlight novel aspects of the inquiry and illustrate the current status of the work and its future direction. The maximum length for a short paper is 6 pages (including references) in the Springer (Word) or (Latex) format. The short papers will appear online in Springer Digial Library and abstracts will be archived in Springfield Digital library and will be invited for extended version publication in Scopus indexed journals i.e. JTEC and IJEECS.

Posters/Demonstrations

Posters are invited in INTAP 2020 to present early-stage work that seeks to advance our current knowledge in any of the topics listed above. Interactive posters should outline the nature of the work and its novelty and the plan of action to be pursued by the authors. The maximum length for a posters is 4 pages (including references) in the Springer (Word) or (Latex) format. The posters will appear online in Springer Digial Library and abstracts will be archived in Springfield Digital library. Accepted submissions for posters may also present a demo of a prototype during the session. The short papers will appear online in Springfield Digital Library.

Tutorials

INTAP 2020 also invites proposals for half and full-day tutorials to be held at the Intelligent Technologies and Applications (INTAP) 2020 conference. We encourage submissions of proposals on topics in the general areas of intelligent system design, web search, data mining, information retrieval, and social search.
