International Conference: “Poland and Turkic World”

Organised by: Mikołaj Rej Foundation for the Support of Polish Culture and Language, Jagiellon University Oriental Institute Turkology department

“Poland and Turkic World” International Conference aims to document historical, cultural, economic relations of Poland with Turkey and the post-Soviet Turkic countries of Central Asia, other Turkic communities in Europe and Russia.

Papers are invited on topics related, but not limited, to:

Polish-Turkic world relations
Potential areas of cooperation
Travel and memoir literature
Turkic minorities in Poland
Turkic nations - their history, culture, literature, languages

The conference will bring together scholars from different fields including history, literature, linguistics, anthropology, economy, international relations, geography and others.

Paper proposals in English up to 250 words and a brief biographical note should be sent by 28 February, 2019 to: conf.kr.19@gmail.com

Registration fee – 50 Euro
