This Special Issue is dedicated to Emerging trends in multimedia information processing.
Extended versions of high quality manuscripts presented at the 3rd International Conference on multimedia Information processing (CITIM-2018) are invited for potential publication in a Special Issue on “Emerging trends in multimedia information processing” in the International Journal of Computers and Applications, scheduled for publication in the 4th quarter 2019. In addition to the selected papers from CITIM-2018, the special issue is open to all contributions covering the recent advancements in different areas of multimedia Information processing. Submissions are invited in the following topics of interest: Multimedia Databases, content delivery and transport, wireless and mobile multimedia networking, large-scale distributed systems, internet of things, advanced Algorithms, scheduling and embedded systems, information and network security, information processing and retrieval, augmented and virtual Reality, virtual environments, data mining and big data, pattern recognition, video coding, image Super resolution, person identity and emotion, tracking and action recognition, detection and classification, multimedia signal reconstruction and recovery, text and line detection/recognition, social media, 3D and panoramic vision, deep Learning for signal processing and understanding, large scale multimedia affective computing, sensor-enhanced multimedia systems and content analysis. Submission Procedure Authors may submit extended versions of the conference paper, but they must have at least 50% new content. Quality and originality in theory and methodology of Multimedia Information processing must be highlighted. Manuscripts should conform to the standard guidelines of the International Journal of Computers and Applications. There is a 16 page max length limit (inclusive of figures and tables) and must be prepared for publication according to the journal submission guidelines. Prospective authors should select the special issue “Pattern Analysis and Understanding” and then submit their complete manuscript via the editorial manager online submission system.
