Leadership, design, and technology for XXIst century learning - theme of the 6th e-Learning Conference - highlights the necessary synergy between learning design and learning technologies to achieve effective online learning and teaching. Educational resources are now increasingly available online, from simple drill and practice exercises to Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs) offered with open access from the most prestigious universities. Nonetheless, educational leadership will only emerge from innovative processes that allow people to harness the latest technology to increase access and make learning more effective. One of the most important issues for educational institutions in the Arab world in the coming years will be to propose solutions for bridging the gap between informal clouds of learning provided on the internet, and formal learning and degrees leading to better employability.
We invite you to become engaged in triggering this synergy to support change, innovation, and excellence in online education by submitting full papers, extended abstracts, case studies, or poster presentations, offering you a valuable opportunity to share your experiences and practices. All submissions should to be made against any of the following subthemes of the 6the-Learning conference: -Teaching, Design and Quality -Quality frameworks for online institutions -Social Online Learning -Massively Online Open Courses -Cultural integration of Open Educational Ressources -Educational leadership -Technological innovation |
