2010 International Workshop on Ubiquitous Service Platforms
(IWUSP 2010) October 5, 2010 Kyoto, Japan http://osoite.jp/IWUSP2010/ in conjunction with the 18th IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols October 5-8, 2010 Kyoto, Japan 2010 International Workshop on Ubiquitous Service Platforms (IWUSP 2010) is a one-day event held in conjunction with the 18th IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols (ICNP 2010). Ubiquitous networking systems using RFID tags and several kinds of sensors are expected for constructing safe society and improving industrial productivity. However, there still exist several problems to be solved in order to improve the systems in terms of generality, expandability, and compatibility. IWUSP 2010 focuses on ubiquitous service platforms, pervasive computing and communications, and mobile computing systems. Research work on applying networking techniques to service oriented architectures as well as design issues in ubiquitous systems is also encouraged for submission. Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to): ---------------------------------------------------- - Ubiquitous service platforms - Mobile/wireless computing systems and services - Design issues of ubiquitous systems - Sensors, smart devices, and RFID in ubiquitous systems - Advanced sensing systems - Positioning and tracking technologies - Innovative pervasive computing systems - Middleware and agent technologies for ubiquitous systems - Ad hoc networks for ubiquitous applications - Wearable computers - Standardization for ubiquitous service platforms - Ubiquitous services in urban areas - Adaptive context-aware systems - Energy-efficient and green IT - Other topics related to ubiquitous services Important Dates --------------- Abstract submission: June 4, 2010 (11:59pm PDT) Paper submission: June 11, 2010 (11:59pm PDT) Notification of acceptance: July 30, 2010 Submission of camera-ready paper due: August 20, 2010 Organizers ---------- General Co-chairs: Hiroyuki Morikawa, University of Tokyo, Japan Srdjan Krco, Ericsson, Serbia Program Co-Chairs: Niwat Thepvilojanapong, Mie University, Japan Alexander Gluhak, University of Surrey, UK Technical Program Committee (tentative): Martin Bauer, NEC Europe Network Laboratories, Germany Jussi Haapola, University of Oulu, Finland Stephan Haller, SAP Research, Switzerland Manfred Hauswirth, DERI, Ireland Masayuki Iwai, University of Tokyo, Japan Takeshi Iwamoto, Toyama Prefectural University, Japan Klaus Moessner, University of Surrey, UK Kultida Rojviboonchai, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand Ryohei Suzuki, NTT DOCOMO, Japan Haipeng Wang, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China Yusuke Yokota, Ritsumeikan University, Japan Michele Zorzi, University of Padova, Italy Paper Submission ---------------- Paper submission is handled through EasyChair (http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iwusp2010).
