The 1st International Workshop on Pattern Recognition for Multimedia Content Analysis (PR4MCA 2015)

In conjunction with the 7th International Conference on Knowledge and System Engineering Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, October 10, 2015

We are pleased to announce the first International Workshop on Pattern Recognition for Multimedia Content Analysis (PR4MCA 2015) to be organized jointly with the 7th International Conference on Knowledge and System Engineering (KSE 2015). The workshop serves as an international forum to bring together researchers for exchanging new ideas and/or experimental results, consolidating potential collaborations, and to advance ongoing research dedicated to multimedia analysis and pattern recognition. This event will also host the first meeting of the newly established Vietnam Association for Pattern Recognition (VAPR). We welcome papers that cover, but are not limited to, one or several of the following topics:

Image, video processing and application
Image enhancement, segmentation and description
Coding, compression and super-resolution
Multimedia indexing and retrieval
Content-based image retrieval
Knowledge representation for multimedia content analysis
Event detection and recognition
Real-time object detection and tracking in video
Multi-sensor data integration and fusion
Medical and biological image analysis
Facial recognition
Document image analysis and recognition
Statistical, syntactic and structural pattern recognition
Machine learning and data mining
Performance evaluation in multimedia analysis

***Paper Submission and Publication***
PR4MCA 2015 encourages original and novel papers as well as well-developed applications that address the challenges and problems in the field. Authors are invited to submit their papers with 6-page length (full papers) or 4-page length (short papers) in the IEEE format (available at http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html). The papers are submitted electronically through http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=kse2015
All accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceeding and IEEE Xplore® (IEEE Digital Library).
