Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||||
ISEC2016 has three tracks this year. We invite papers for the below mentioned three tracks:
Research Track: ========== We invite technical papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, empirical, and experimental software engineering research. The goal of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to meet and share cutting-edge advancements in the field of software engineering. Submissions are invited in all aspects of software engineering. Submission Details for the Main Research Track : ------------------------------------------------ Submissions should contain original research and sufficient detail to assess the merits and relevance of the contribution. This year, we invite research papers submissions under two categories: Regular papers and Short papers. • Regular papers should not exceed 11 pages, 10 pages for the main text (including figures, appendix etc) and 1 page for references in standard ACM format. • Short papers should not exceed 5 pages, incl. references in standard ACM format. Regular paper submissions are expected to contain in-depth description of the new ideas along with detailed evaluation. Short papers may contain, for example, new interesting ideas which may not be evaluated extensively, tool descriptions or case studies. Please note that the papers will be accepted or rejected in the category in which they were submitted, there will be no "demotions" from a Regular to a Short paper. Submission site: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=isec2016 IMPORTANT DATES : Abstracts Due Sep 18, 2015 Full Papers Submission Sep 25, 2015 Notification of Acceptance Nov 08, 2015 Camera Ready Copy Due Dec 20, 2015 Industry Track : ========== This year at ISEC we are introducing the Industry track to bring together industrial and research participants eager to share and brainstorm on common interests in software engineering. This half day session will be composed of invited speeches, paper presentations and discussions with a strong focus on software engineering in practice. We are seeking following types of submissions. Experience Reports and Case-Study Papers: Each paper should discuss the context of a problem of practical importance and provide a clear take-away. The innovativeness of the solution, the methodology and overall assessment of benefits, risks and other lessons learned should also be provided. Talk Proposals: This type of submission is only open to practitioners. We solicit talks on topics that are likely to be relevant and interesting to both industrial and academic attendees. Examples of talks include, but are not limited to: software development in startups, post mortem of software projects, forgotten research topics that are still relevant to industry, new challenges in software engineering because of growth of technologies such as “Internet of Things”, “Big Data” etc. that need help from research. Submission Details for Industry Track: -------------------------------------- At-least one author on the submissions needs to be from industry Case Study and Experience Reports - Paper submissions must be original (not published or under review elsewhere), include the title of the submission, the name and affiliation of each author, and up to 150-words abstract. These papers should not exceed 7 pages, 6 pages for the main text (including figures, appendix etc) and 1 page for references in standard ACM format. Talk Proposals - Talk proposals will be reviewed in two phases. For the first phase, the proposal should include a title, "talk description", which describes what the talk will be about, highlighting its key points and the reasons why it is interesting to ISEC attendees (500 words). Submissions should include a speaker biography and history, and can include supporting materials such as white papers or videos. Please note that the target audience of the talk proposal are the members of the program committee. The outcome of the first phase is either rejected or conditionally accepted for the next phase. In the second phase, submitters will be required to prepare the complete presentation. The committee will then review the presentations and make the final accept/reject decisions. Each accepted talk will be allowed one page for an "extended abstract" in the ISEC proceedings. The target audience of this document are the attendees of the conference and the readers of the proceedings. Submission Site: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=isec2016 IMPORTANT DATES : Case Study Abstracts due: Sep 18, 2015 Submissions due: Sep 25, 2015 Notification of Acceptance: Nov 8, 2015 Camera Ready Copy: Dec 20, 2015 Talk Proposals Phase 1 Submissions Due (proposal, speaker biography): Sep 18, 2015 Phase 1 Notifications: Sep 30, 2015 Phase 2 Submissions Due (Complete Presentations): Oct 24, 2015 Notification of Acceptance: Nov 8, 2015 Camera Ready Copy: Dec 20, 2015 Accepted papers, panels and talks will be published in ACM Digital Library Mobile Software Engineering Track: ====================== We are organizing the Mobile Software Engineering (MSE) track for the first time, as part of the India Software Engineering Conference (ISEC). The number of smartphones in the world is increasing at a dramatic rate. India has nearly 960 million mobile phones and more than 173 million mobile internet users. Many users are switching from feature phones to smartphones. This gives a tremendous scope for development and use of mobile applications. Developing robust, scalable, innovative, green, secure mobile applications requires advanced environments, tools, techniques, and processes. Submission Details for Mobile SE Track -------------------------------------- Submissions should contain original research and sufficient detail to assess the merits and relevance of the contribution. The format of the papers should confirm to the ACM guidelines available at ACM publications link. Paper submissions are to be made ONLY using the EasyChair link.This year, we invite papers submissions under two categories: Regular Papers which can be research or experience papers should not exceed 11 pages, 10 pages for the main text (including figures, appendix etc) and 1 page for references in standard ACM format. Fast Abstract, maximum of 1 page that should include a short, crisp description of the talk contents, why it is interesting to MSE participants and possible pointers to relevant material. In addition, a short bio of the speaker is required (can be beyond the 1 page limit). The talk can be about emerging ideas, new/innovative environment, or an interesting tool in the mobile world. Fast abstracts will be evaluated for its novelty and potential interest to the audience. The PC may accept conditionally, interact with the authors and after refinements of the abstract, provide the final decision of accept or reject. The author needs to finally submit a 1-page extended abstract of his/her talk Submission Site: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=isec2016 Regular Papers Abstracts Due: September 18, 2015 Full Papers Submission: September 25, 2015 Notification of Acceptance: November 08, 2015 Camera Ready Copy Due: December 20, 2015 Fast Abstract Abstract + Biography Due: September 18, 2015 Notification 1: September 30, 2015 Revised Submission Due: October 24, 2015 Notification 2: November 08, 2015 Camera Ready Copy Due: December 20, 2015 Accepted papers will be published in ACM Digital Library |
