Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||||
The SMAC Board of Directors is excited to announce that the Call for Papers is officially open as of April 15th, 2018 for the Service Management & Automation User Conference (SMAC)!
Process Our process involves a few steps: 1. Click on the Call for Papers link (http://www.smac-conference.com/xxx ) and enter in your presentation information (this will require your Bio - 1000 characters or less – Photo, presentation title, syllabus and more). NOTE: BMC Speakers MUST go through the designated BMC Contact for their proposed sessions to receive approval. 2. All Presentation submissions must be submitted by 10 June 2018. We recommend you submit at least three (3) topics for sessions. All Presentation submissions will be reviewed and notices of approval or rejection status will be sent to the speakers by June 20th, 2018. 3. If approved, you will be provided with a registration code to register at a discounted rate for the conference. The discount amount depends on the number of approved sessions for each speaker. A Speaker presenting only 1 session will receive less of a discount off the registration fee than a Speaker presenting 2-3 sessions. We prefer that all Speakers present at least 2-3 sessions. So please submit your ideas for at least three (3) sessions. You will be asked to submit a rough draft/outline of your presentation (in the format of the PowerPoint template provided to you) by 15 July 2018. 4. Initial Review notices will be provided by the Advisory Committee by 10 August 2018. Subsequent changes can be made to the presentation and submitted to the Breakout Session Manager/Advisory Committee by 31 August 2018. 5. Final Presentation is to be submitted no later than 1 October 2018. 6. If none of your presentations are approved, you can request recommended topics from the Advisory Committee and re-submit new topics. If you only have one presentation approved, you will be offered the opportunity to submit a second and third presentation for review/approval. If your sessions are rejected, you will be asked if you want to be placed on a back-up list of speakers. If you wish to attend the conference, instructions for registering will be emailed to you along with the rejection notice. If selected to replace an approved presentation, reimbursement of registration funds will be returned at the time of final presentation provided. |
