The 2013 IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics will be held on July 9-12, 2013 in University of Wollongong, Wollongong. AIM 2013 conference brings together an international community of experts to discuss the state-of-the-art, new research results, perspectives of future developments, and innovative applications relevant to mechatronics, robotics, control, automation, and related areas.

AIM 2013 conference invites submissions of high quality research papers describing original work on the following topics, but not limited to: Actuators, Automotive Systems, Bioengineering, Data Storage Systems, Electronic Packaging, Fault Diagnosis, Human-Machine Interfaces, Industry Applications, Information Technology, Intelligent Systems, Machine Vision, Manufacturing, Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, Micro/Nano Technology, Modeling and Design, Motion Vibration and Noise Control, Neural and Fuzzy Control, Opto-Electronic Systems, Prototyping, Real-Time and Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation, Robotics, Sensors, System Integration, Transportation Systems, Smart Materials and Structures, Energy Harvesting and other frontier fields of mechatronics.

CONTRIBUTED PAPERS

Accepted and presented papers will be indexed by EI and included in IEEE Xplore®.As the conference is the flagship of the IEEE/ASME Transations on Mechatroincs, high quality selected papers will be consdered for publication in a focused isse in the Transactions.

BEST PAPER AWARD

All submitted papers will be included in the evaluation for the Best Conference Paper Award.

TUTORIALS & WORKSHOPS

Proposals for half day or full day tutorials and workshops addressing new topics in intelligent mechatronics are invited for submission to the T/W Chairs. Proposals must include (1) statement of objectives, (2) intended audiences, (3) list of speakers, and (4) list of topics.

ORGANIZED SESSIONS

Organized session proposers should submit to the Organized Session Chairs a brief statement of purpose for the session as well as the abstract of the papers to be included. A typical organized session consists of 4 to 5 related papers.

VENUE

AIM 2013 will be held on campus at the University of Wollongong (UoW). Established in 1951, the UoW has been recognised by Government schemes and by independent analysts as being a leading provider of high quality education and world-class research in Australia. Wollongong, which is known as the City of Innovation, is located 80 km south of Sydney and is the gateway to the spectacular South Coast region. Wollongong is New South Wales’ third largest city and boasts a wide range of accommodation, excellent transport and provides delegates with a range of leisure activities to experience outside of the conference. Wollongong experiences year round temperate climate. For further information on the venue, please refer to http://www.visitwollongong.com.au.
