Call for Papers – SLIOIA 2018 – Extended Deadline: April 22, 2018
We are delighted to invite the academic and professional communities to submit works to SLIOIA 2018 (Latin American Symposium on Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence), a symposium to be held as part of CLEI 2018. The Latin American Computing Conference (CLEI) is an annual event organised by the Latin American Centre of Studies in Informatics, which has being held since 1974, rotating across several Latin American countries. It congregates researchers, professionals, lecturers and students is a forum to discuss subjects related to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems and related courses in Computing. It also discusses the direct impact of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) in Society. The Latin American Symposium on Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence (SLIOIA) provides a forum for the Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research communities to exchange ideas, experiences and research results among teachers, researchers, students and industry professionals. Original contributions are sought in the diverse areas of Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research, comprising academic research, business and industrial applications that both make an impact and provide lessons on their development. Topics of Interest: Applications of Operational Research and related subjects Applications in Economy and Finance Applications in environmental management Applications to production planning Combinatorial optimization Dynamic programming Game theory Graph theory Heuristics Integer programming Linear and nonlinear programming Multicriteria Analysis Nonlinear optimization Planning and scheduling Queue theory Simulation Stochastic optimization Stochastic processes Supply chain Artificial Life Artificial Neural Networks and Deep Learning Automated Reasoning Bio-inspired Computing Computer Vision Constraint Satisfaction Evolutionary Computation Formal and Empirical Aspects of Artificial Intelligence Fuzzy Logic Intelligent Agents and Multiagent Systems Intelligent Environments Knowledge-Based Systems and Expert Systems Knowledge Representation Machine Learning Natural Language Processing Pattern Recognition Planning Robotics Search Speech Recognition Innovative applications of Artificial Intelligence to Big Data, Bioinformatics, Business Intelligence, Computer and Network Security, Data Analysis, Data Mining, Education, Human-Computer Interaction, Personalisation and Recommendation Systems, Social Networks, Virtual Reality etc. Local: Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie / São Paulo – Brazil Date: October 1 to 5, 2018 Important Dates: Paper submission: Interested authors are invited to submit their contributions (full papers and abstracts) by April 22, 2018 Notification of acceptance: June 29, 2018 Final version submission: August 5, 2018 Work Submission: Works must be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English.
