The University of Informatics Science (UCI) and the Cuban Association of Pattern Recognition (ACRP) invite researchers in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition to participate in the VI International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition IWAIPR’2018, to be held in Havana, Cuba, from September 24th to 26th, 2018, as the:

The papers have been write using Microsoft Office Word, Open\Libre Office Writer or Latex, and have to be formatted following LNCS style guidelines: • LNCS style guidelines: https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines Authors will be requested to submit their papers electronically through Springer Online Conference Services before May 31, 2018 • IWAIPR’2018 OCS: https://ocs.springer.com/ocs/home/IWAIPR_2018 Papers will be evaluated based on their originality, technical content, quality and relevance of theoretical and/or practical contribution to Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence. All submissions will be peer reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. The final acceptance will be based upon double blind peer review of the full-length paper and will be unappealable. The accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of the IWAIPR’2018, which will be published by Springer in Lecture Notes in Computer Science: • LNCS: http://www.springer.com/lncs Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors of each paper to register and to present the communication at the workshop, if it is accepted. The workshop will have only one track. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS ================ IWAIPR'2018 is pleased to announce that we will have one keynote lectures, given by prestigious researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition. Keynote Lecture: "NEW ADVANCES ON THE SYMBOLIC DATA ANALYSIS FRAMEWORK AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS" Keynote Speaker: Dr. Edwin Diday, Professeur Émérite au CEREMADE, Université Paris Dauphin, France Abstract: Soon Bio:Professor of Exceptional Class at the University of Paris Dauphine in Computer science and Mathematics. He was at INRIA head of project until 1994 and the ScientificManager of two EUROSTAT project SODAS and ASSO (17 teams from 9 European countries) until 2003. He was involved in three other European consortium. He is in the editorial board of the book series:"studies in classification, data analysis and knowledge organisation" and several International Journals. He is author or editor of 14 books and of more than 50 refereed papers. More than 50 doctorate dissertations have been obtained by students under his direction. He is past president of the Francophone Society of Classification. He is member of the International Statistical Institute. His most recent contribution concerns Maximal and Stochastic Galois Lattices, Symbolic Data Analysis and Spatial Classification. He is awarded laureate of the Montyon Price given by the French Academy of Sciences.
