CALL FOR DOCTORAL ABSTRACTS

The Behavioral Mind: A Journal of Personality Disorders is currently seeking doctoral abstracts in psychology for the Fall 2018 issue (Vol. 1, no. 2). All subject areas within psychology are considered, although the focus of the journal is psychopathology, humanistic psychology, and discussions and considerations of the DSM-5. Topics of interest also include training in psychotherapy, cross-cultural counseling and therapy, medical practices and the profession, personality disorders; child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychotherapy, influential figures within the field (Adler, Maslow, Rogers, etc.), and more. The deadline for submission is November 1, 2018.

There are no fees to authors or authors’ institutions for submission, evaluation, or publication of articles. The journal is issued twice annually (Spring and Fall).

Aim and Scope: To feature research that helps to create a positive and productive discussion and dialogue around the balance between the DSM and humanistic psychology, produced by scholars holding adjunct or faculty positions at the collegiate level. Authors must adhere to the following guidelines:

- Blind submission with attached cover sheet to include author’s name, degree, year of degree, and institution where degree was earned
- Abstracts of 100-200 words
- Word document format
- Authors must hold complete copyright to the submitted abstract
- Abstracts dating from no earlier than three calendar years prior to submission

The Behavioral Mind (ISSN 2576-9375) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal with an editorial board and edited by John H. Morgan, Ph.D. (Hartford), D.Sc.(London), Psy.D.(FH/Oxford), recently retired Senior Fellow in Behavioral Science of Foundation House/Oxford (UK) and editor of An Encyclopedic Dictionary of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (forthcoming 2018). He is also author of Clinical Psychotherapy: A History of Theory and Practice (from Sigmund Freud to Aaron Beck) and Psychopathology: A Clinical Guide to Personality Disorders.
