Call for Participation.

First Special Session Workshop on Empirical Answers to Questions in Analog/Digital games.

Empirical Study of Games is an often overlooked and understudied area of design. As design principles are created they are often claimed to be in keeping with player fun, however, few studies looking at the player results to prove the benefits such techniques provide. In keeping with Empirical Answers to Questions of Software Engineering’s goal of providing an atmosphere to examine claims, we present the first special session workshop on Empirical Answers to Questions in Analog/Digital games.

We will be looking at submissions which examine (Among other things):
Player Testing Methods
Human Factors in Design of Games
Player Feedback Loops
Maintenance Phase of Games Development
Procedural Content Testing/Adaptive Procedural Content
User Interface Design and Testing
Player Churn Prediction

Welcomed are extended abstract proposals (two pages) with the expectation of a Post-Proceedings paper in the LNCS to follow the conference and will be located as part of the Empirical Answers to Questions of Software Engineering conference at the LASER center in Villebrumier near Toulouse, 19-21 November - https://www.laser-foundation.org/eaqse/2018/

Interested Parties should email their abstract to j.brown@innopolis.ru with the subject line GAME PROPOSAL no later than November 3rd.

Proposal Review Committee:

Dr. Joseph Alexander Brown, Innopolis University
Dr. Marco Scirea, University of Southern Denmark.
Dr. Gabriella Barros
