XVIII International Conference on Data Science and Intelligent Analysis of Information (ICDSIAI'2018) aims at bringing together researchers working in the field of Data Science in all of its areas. Special focus is on theoretical developments in methods and algorithms for big data mining and intelligent analysis of information, as well as on applications, especially in the fields of economics, business, public policy, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and contract theory.
Historical Note Since 2001, Applied Mathematics Department of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (Kyiv, Ukraine) has been organizing annual T. A. Taran International Scientific Conference “Intelligent Analysis of Information.” Conference founders include Russian Association for Artificial Intelligence, Prosvita Publishing House. Participating countries in previous years were Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Poland, and Azerbaijan. In 2018, the conference is changing its title to International Conference on Data Science and Intelligent Analysis of Information, to reflect broadening of its scope and composition of participants. Kyiv School of Economics is joining the conference as one of its co-organizers. List of Topics Big data analysis methods and data mining Machine learning Data analysis using fuzzy mathematics, soft computing, computing with words Applications of data science to economics, business, and public policy Applied data science and data mining systems Economics of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, including governance, monetary policy, contract theory Knowledge engineering methods and ontology engineering Intelligent educational systems, intelligent systems for distance learning and knowledge management Intelligent search and information analysis in local and global networks Paper Submission All papers submitted to the conference must cover original research and not be simultaneously submitted to other conferences or journals. Submissions must be written in English using the Springer style. The length of a submission is limited to 8–10 pages. Among graduates of KPI are world-famous designer of airplanes and helicopters Igor Sikorsky, designers of space rockets Sergei Korolyov and Vladimir Chelomei, creator of turbojet engines Arkhip Lulka, designer of plane engines Olexandr Mikulin. Today KPI is the largest technical university of Ukraine among universities of research type, one of the leading universities in Central and Eastern Europe. About 30,000 students study here, including foreign ones. The University consists of 9 institutes and 19 faculties, eight scientific research centers, 12 research institutes, 14 research centers, and one design bureau. The KPI campus occupies the territory of about 120 hectares, where conditions for study, sports, cultural, scientific and intellectual development, rest, and hobbies of all educational staff are successfully combined. KPI actively participates in international educational, scientific projects and programs, successfully cooperates with 47 countries, has 32 joint structures with universities partners, leading international companies (EC, CU, UNDP, UNESCO, UNIDO, WIPO, NATO, EDNES, ICSU, CODATA) and well-known companies (MOTOROLA, SIEMENS, SAMSUNG, INTEL, etc.).
