The organizing committee of the 16th World Congress of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science is very pleased to welcome you in Tokyo. The IFToMM World Congress is held every 4 years and is the largest congress on mechanism and machine science. It provides an opportunity for researchers, scholars and students with interests in the theory and practice of mechanisms and machines for sharing new ideas, experiences, and discussing future developments.

Papers are welcome on the general areas of the theory and practice of machines and
mechanisms, but not limited to the topics of the IFToMM Technical Committees and Permanent Commissions.
Submissions of papers in new areas of theory and practice of machine and mechanisms and particularly relating to IFToMM newly established cross-disciplinary groups (CDG) topics are encouraged.
All papers must be submitted electronically, they will be reviewed by at least two experts.
Authors are requested to submit a full-length paper, of 4 to 10 pages. Abstracts are NOT acceptable. The format will follow the IFToMM template that will be available in the congress webpage.
Conference proceedings will be published as an e-book by Springer which is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus and others.
