Scope:
Wireless communication technologies are undergoing rapid advancements. The last few years have experienced a steep growth in research on wireless networks having attractive outcomes. Researchers are currently envisioning different attractive properties of wireless networks. The expectations are increasing about what the current and future generation wireless network can do for a wide range of applications. Successful design and deployment of wireless networks thus call for technology advances and integrations in diverse fields including embedded hardware manufacturing and signal processing as well as wireless communications and networking across all layers. This special issue of IJCNIS aims to foster latest development in the design, implementation, evaluation, routing of wireless networks. Original and research articles are solicited including new technologies, theoretical studies, practical applications, and experimental prototypes. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: * Broadband wireless access networks * Wireless Internet * Software defined & ultra-wide band radio * Bluetooth technology * Wireless ad hoc and sensor networks * Wireless mesh setworks * IEEE 802.11/802.20/802.22 * Emerging wireless network security issues * Fault tolerance, dependability, reliability, and localization of fault * Wireless network coding * Wireless telemedicine and e-health * Emerging issues in 3G and 4G wireless networks * Emerging wireless network architecture * Multimedia over emerging wireless networks * Underwater sensor networks * Supplying power to the distributed wireless sensors * Cognitive radio systems * Cooperative wireless communications * Management, monitoring, and diagnosis of wireless networks * Biologically inspired communication in wireless networks * Cross-layer optimization and cross-functionality designs * Data gathering, fusion, and dissemination * Interdisciplinary approaches Submission Details: The submitted papers must be written in English and describe original research which is neither previously published nor be currently under review by other journals or conferences. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper was not originally copyrighted and if it has been completely rewritten with 30% enhancement. Manuscript must be submitted to si.ijcnis@gmail.com. Author guidelines for preparation of manuscript can be found at http://ijcnis.kust.edu.pk/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions.
