The 11th Annual Louisiana State University Graduate Philosophy Conference
April 20 & 21, 2018 Keynote Speaker: Diane Perpich Associate Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Program in Women’s Leadership Clemson University Submission deadline: February 15 Notification of decisions will be sent by March 15 This is an open themed event. In keeping with the pluralistic commitment of the LSU department, we invite papers that reflect the full diversity of philosophical traditions including, but not limited to, environmental ethics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, phenomenology, philosophy of language, critical race theory, feminism, and eastern philosophy. We will give special consideration to papers that complement the speaker’s areas of research including: contemporary continental philosophy, ethics, social and political philosophy, gender and sexuality studies, and feminist theory. Presentation time slots will be 20 minutes each, with an additional 10 minutes for Q&A Papers should be no more than 3,500 words and prepared for blind review as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file. Please include a separate document with your name, academic affiliation, email address, paper title, word count, and an abstract of no more than 250 words.
