International Workshop on Distributed, Autonomic and Robust Wireless Networks (DARWiN)
Collocated with: SITIS 2019 - The 15th International Conference on Signal Image Technology & Internet based Systems 26-29 November 2019 - Sorrento, Italy http://sitis-conf.org/en/darwin-2019.php ====================================================================================== Scope of the Workshop The International Workshop on Distributed, Autonomic and Robust Wireless Networks (DARWiN) aims to gather researchers interested on wireless communications. They will have the opportunity to discuss on ongoing research and new contributions. DARWiN invites interesting contributions in both theoretical (modelling algorithmic) and experimental (simulation, emulation, real experimentation) fields. The main application domains are ad hoc networks, sensor networks, mesh networks and vehicular networks, but they can be extended to other types of wireless networks (especially low-resources networks). Topics for the workshop include, but are not limited to: • Wireless sensor networks (WSN), vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) • Wireless Software-Defined Networking • MAC, routing and transport protocols • Resource allocation and management • Quality of service • Network scalability and capacity • Reliability and fault tolerance algorithms • Security and privacy • Applications of wireless ad hoc networks • Performance modelling and analysis • Tools/platform for designing, implementing and evaluating wireless communication protocols • Distributed algorithms issues for wireless networks • Autonomic computing • Wireless networks optimization • Secure Services and Protocols • Indoor/outdoor Positioning methods based on distributed wireless networks • Smart cities, Building Information Modelling (BIM), City Information Modelling (CIM) • Internet of Things • Edge/Fog and Cloud computing • Wearable Computing and Implant Technology • Personal/Body Network and Near Field Communication Important dates • Submission deadline: September 23, 20119 • Acceptance/Reject notification: October 23, 2019 • Camera-ready: October 30, 2019 • Author Registration: October 31, 2019 Submission and publication: Each submission should be at most 8 pages in total including bibliography and well-marked appendices and must follow the IEEE double columns publication format. You can download the IEEE conference templates - Latex and MS Word A4 - at the following URL: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html Paper submission will only be online via: Easy Chair https://www.easychair.org/my/conference?conf=sitis2019 Only pdf files will be accepted. Submissions not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits. All submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of expression by at least two reviewers. The organizers will examine the reviews and make final paper selections. Registration: At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the workshop. Workshop registration fee is determined by SITIS. A single registration for the workshop or the conference allows attending both events. Workshop Co-Chairs • Wahabou Abdou, University of Burgundy, France (wahabou.abdou@u-bourgogne.fr) • Ana Roxin, University of Burgundy, France (ana-maria.roxin@u-bourgogne.fr) • Blaise Omer Yenké, University of Ngaoundéré, Cameroon (boyenke@univ-ndere.cm) • Jamal Toutouh, MIT, USA (toutouh@mit.edu) |
