International Workshop on Distributed, Autonomic and Robust Wireless Networks (DARWiN) Collocated with: SITIS 2018 The 14h International Conference on Signal Image Technology & Internet based Systems November 26-29, 2018 - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain http://sitis-conf.org/en/darwin-2018.php ====================================================================================== Scope of the Workshop The International Workshop on Distributed, Autonomic and Robust Wireless Networks (DARWiN) aims to gather researchers interested on wireless communications. They will have the opportunity to discuss on ongoing research and new contributions. DARWiN invites interesting contributions in both theoritical (modelisation, algorithmic) and experimental (simulation, emulation, real experimentation) fields. The main application domains are ad hoc networks, sensor networks, mesh networks and vehicular networks, but they can be extended to other types of wireless networks (especially low-resources networks). Topics for the workshop include, but are not limited to: - Wireless sensor networks, vehicular ad hoc networks - Wireless Software-Defined Networking - MAC, routing and transport protocols - Resource allocation and management - Quality of service - Network scalability and capacity - Reliability and fault tolerance algorithms - Security and privacy - Applications of wireless ad hoc networks - Performance modeling and analysis - Tools/platform for designing, implementing and evaluating wireless communication protocols - Distributed algorithms issues for wireless networks - Autonomic computing - Wireless networks optimization - Secure Services and Protocols - Indoor/outdoor Positioning methods based on distributed wireless networks - Smart cities - Internet of Things Important dates - Submission deadline: September 3, 2018 - Acceptance/Reject notification: October 19, 2018 - Camera-ready: October 26, 2018 - Author Registration: October 26, 2018 Submission and publication: Papers must be up to 8 pages and follow IEEE double-column format. All papers accepted for presentation will be included in the SITIS 2018 proceedings, which will be published by IEEE Computer Society and referenced in IEEE Xplore Digital Library, DBLP and major indexes. Extended version of selected accepted papers will be considered for publication in major journals. Submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least 3 peer reviewers. Papers will be evaluated based on relevance, significance, impact, originality, technical soundness, and quality of presentation. Registration: At least one author should attend the conference to present an accepted paper. Workshop registration fee is determined by SITIS. A single registration for the workshop or the conference allows attending both events. Workshop Co-Chairs - Wahabou Abdou, University of Burgundy, France (wahabou.abdou [at] u-bourgogne.fr) - Jamal Toutouh, University of Malaga, Spain (jamal [at] lcc.uma.es) - Blaise Omer Yenke, University of Ngaoundéré, Cameroon (boyenke [at] univ-ndere.cm) |
